FCB Nyasa Big Bullets are ready to cover the cost of repairing Silver Strikers’ bus after the fracas that marred the premium fare between the two heavyweights on Sunday in Blantyre.
Silver Strikers were on cloud nine after bagging home maximum points against the defending Champions, extending the lead over Bullets to 11 points.

Chinsisi Maonga left it late to snatch the winner after catching Bullets on the counter against the run of the play. A game where the hosts had several chances ended in tears causing the game to end chaotically as the supporters who are alleged to be Bullets’ pelted stones and bottles at the field soon after the goal.
The bus for the People’s Team was deflated while some glasses of Silver Strikers’ bus were broken, bringing the game of football into disrepute.
In a statement released by the Club on Tuesday, Bullets apologized to Silver Strikers for the incident saying that they are ready to cover the costs of repairing the Bus.
“We are deeply saddened by the damages caused to Silver Strikers’ Team Bus during the violence,” reads in part the letter. “The Club would therefore like to extend a heartfelt apology to Silver Strikers FC following the incident.
“As a home team, we will work closely with Silver Strikers’ Management to assess and cover the costs of repairing the team’s bus.”
Bullets strongly condemn acts of violence

Soon after the game, following the incident, Sulom released a statement condemning the vice saying that the conduct that the alleged supporters did has no play in football saying appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against those responsible by all applicable rules and regulations.
“The stoning incident that took place is unacceptable and goes against the spirit of sportsmanship and the values that we uphold in the league. We would like to assure all stakeholders including players, fans, and officials that the Super League of Malawi will not tolerate such behavior,” reads the statement in part.
“SULOM is committed to ensuring the safety and security of everyone involved at the Super League matches and will work closely with law enforcement to investigate this incident thoroughly.
“Violence has no place in football. We call on all fans to maintain peace, showing respect for each other and the sport.”
In a statement, Bullets echoed Sulom’s sentiment saying as a Club, they believe that football is a sport that brings entertainment to people from all walks of life.
Bullets said they are disappointed and shocked by the acts of violence and the Club welcomes Sulom’s decision to investigate the incident and punish perpetrators.
“We want to make it clear that acts of violence are unacceptable and go against the very spirit of the game. We vehemently condemn the actions of the fans responsible for this incident,” adds the statement.
