FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve underlined their title ambitions in the SRFA ThumbsUp Premier Division with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Ntopwa FC on Monday, June 2, 2025. The win saw the youthful side cement their position at the top of the 16-team table with 12 points from five games.
A brace from in-form striker Prince Chalera set the tone for a dominant Bullets performance. Francis Malikebu and Enos Hendeman also got on the scoresheet, while Ellard M’sosa grabbed a consolation goal for Ntopwa, who remain in 13th place with just four points.

Ekhaya Reserve climbed to third with a narrow but significant 1-0 away win over Chilomoni FC. Blessings Mofolo netted the decisive goal in a tightly contested affair. The defeat saw Chilomoni drop to fifth, albeit level on eight points with two other sides—Immigration FC and Liberty FC.
Ekhaya Reserve Head Coach, Aurtrey Kalulu said it was a difficult game but to see his team getting three points.
“We still have more games to play, we started the campaign on a slow note but now we are now gaining momentum. However, we are yet to be where we want because there are a number of areas to work on.”

Aubrey Magombo Assistant Coach for Chilomoni FC said a defeat has given them a blueprint of where to work on going forward.
“We started the game very slowly but after changes in the second half, we started playing as a team but we couldn’t get an equalizer. We have seen areas to improve and hopefully, we will work on them,” said Aubrey.
Tigers Reserve produced one of the weekend’s most thrilling performances, edging Mwanza Stars 3-2 in a five-goal thriller. John Zakanembo was the hero of the day with a sensational hat-trick, while Blessings Gustino’s brace wasn’t enough to salvage a point for Mwanza. Despite the win, Tigers remain 14th due to their inferior goal difference.
Elsewhere, Wanderers Reserve were held to a goalless stalemate by a resolute Chilobwe United side, who continue to impress with their defensive discipline. Both sides sit mid-table, with Wanderers in fourth on nine points and Chilobwe eighth with six.
Sunday’s fixtures saw Zingwangwa United keep the pressure on Bullets Reserve with a clinical 2-0 victory over FOMO Reserve. Goals from Joseph Khuku and Corazo Zonda lifted Zingwangwa to second place on 10 points, two behind the leaders.
In another Sunday clash, Immigration FC edged Nyambadwe United 2-1. Gift Sato and Tonny Mbulu scored for the home side, while Francis Chirwa netted for Nyambadwe. Immigration’s win sees them tied at eight points with Chilomoni and Liberty.
Saturday’s action saw Nsanje United register their first win of the campaign, defeating The Boyz SFC 2-0 thanks to goals from Mayamiko Yesaya and a penalty converted by Hestings Gwetdula. Despite the win, Nsanje remain rooted at the bottom of the table on three points due to goal difference.
The matchday 13 opener on Friday saw Liberty FC and Thondwe FC share the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Paul Kamsugwi struck for Liberty while Tonny Biwi replied for Thondwe, leaving both sides level on six points in a congested mid-table battle.
