FCB Nyasa Big Bullets delivered a statement performance on Sunday afternoon, putting four past Kamuzu Barracks in a commanding 4-0 victory at the Kamuzu Stadium.
From the first whistle, Bullets looked eager to seize control. Their intent was clear just four minutes in, when they earned a quick corner and tested KB goalkeeper Hastings Banda early on. Banda, however, was alert and denied any early damage.

But the pressure soon told.
In the 5th minute, Maxwell Gasten Phodo’s thumping header rattled the crossbar, and while KB scrambled to clear, Mike Mkwate pounced on the loose ball to fire home the opener — igniting the home fans and setting the tone for the afternoon.
It did not take long for Bullets to double their lead. Chikumbutso Salima, lively throughout the first half, got his name on the scoresheet with a composed finish after the visitors failed to deal with sustained pressure from the hosts.
Bullets were flying, and despite a series of fine saves from Banda, it felt inevitable that more goals were coming. In the 34th minute, Salima turned provider. He beat Hope Namadzunda down the flank and whipped in a cross that found Wongani Lungu unmarked. Lungu made no mistake, calmly slotting in Bullets’ third of the afternoon.
Kamuzu Barracks looked stunned, though they began to settle midway through the half, registering a few attempts of their own. Zeliati Nkhoma came closest in the 29th minute, but his effort shaved the outside of the post with goalkeeper Innocent Nyasulu rooted.
Halftime brought a flurry of changes for both sides, with Bullets introducing fresh legs in Ephraim Kondowe, Sean McBrams, Henry Chiwaya, and Frank Willard. Kamuzu Barracks also shuffled their deck, bringing on Sam Chibvunde.
Bullets remained dominant in the second half, with Lungu almost grabbing a second but Chibvunde was there to clear his goal-bound strike. Kondowe, too, had a golden opportunity but could only fire straight at Banda — who continued to stand tall despite the chaos in front of him.
Tempers began to flare as yellow cards were shown to Banda, Orson Kanjira, and Gregory Nachipo, the latter involved in a late match drama. Nachipo was initially sent off for what appeared to be a second booking, only for officials to reverse the decision upon realizing it was his predecessor, Sam Gunda, who had earlier seen yellow.
But the moment of the match — and perhaps the highlight of the season so far — belonged to Sean McBrams in the 75th minute. With defenders closing in, he danced his way through a packed KB defense and unleashed a screamer from distance. It was a goal that left Banda frozen, fans erupting, and the scoreline reading 4-0.
As the final whistle blew, Bullets walked off with three points, four goals, and a performance full of confidence and class.
