Former Mighty Wanderers attacker Misheck Botomani has penned a six-month deal with Dedza Dynamos Football Club on a free transfer.

Botomani became a free agent after leaving Creck Sporting Club last month. Wa Mpira reported last week that Dedza were in talks with the player to beef up their squad, with discussions at an advanced stage.

The 28-year-old joined Creck Sporting in February after the expiry of his deal with Mighty Wanderers but failed to make his mark at the club. He made just 12 appearances and featured in one cup match over seven months before his two-year contract was terminated early.

Dedza Dynamos Head Coach Alex Ngwira previously worked with Botomani in 2022 at Mighty Wanderers before the coach was sacked later that year, with then Technical Director Mark Harrison taking over.

Dedza Dynamos are looking to boost their attacking options to move into safer league positions. During the mid-season transfer window, they signed seven players: George Phiri (Chintheche FC), Christopher Phiri (FOMO FC), Luke Chima (Moyale Barracks), Pacharo Moyo (Panthers), Ackim Mponda (FOMO FC), Chikondi Mbeta (Thondwe United), and Noah Peter (Lobi Young Soccer).

Their scoring record this season has been poor, which explains their willingness to add firepower. In 19 games, Dedza have scored just 16 goals while conceding 24, leaving them with a -8 goal difference.
