He said the club has sourced about 1,000 seedlings which will be planted across Lilongwe river and by-pass area.
“Despite being a volleyball team, we would want to play a role in replenishing the damaged vegetation by human activities. The exercise is pivotal as it is corporate social responsibility.”
“Further, our squad is mostly comprised of youthful players hence want to keep them busy so that they refrain from indulging from bad behaviors such as smoking and drinking beer which would negatively have an impact in their future”, Explained Jambo.
The exercise will be under the guidance of the Lilongwe City Council Assembly.
The Deputy Director of the Human Resource Management in the Malawi Police Services, Maxton Kalimanjira, assistant Commissioner of Police will lead the delegates.
The exercise comes within the tree-planting season which was launched by the Malawi government few months ago.
