In a gesture aimed at strengthening youth football development in Malawi, Bishop Mackenzie International School (BMIS) on Friday donated footballs to All Star Sports Academy in Lilongwe.
The symbolic handover took place at the BMIS Sports Complex and marked a continued partnership between the two institutions, which regularly collaborate through friendly matches and grassroots football initiatives.
Speaking during the donation, BMIS Sports Director Mr. Neil Black highlighted the mutual respect and collaboration that exists between the school and the academy.

“This is an appreciation to All Star Sports Academy for the nice games that they’ve been giving us whenever BMIS requests them,” he said.
The donation, though simple in nature, is expected to make a significant impact on the Academy’s efforts to discover and nurture young football talent across Lilongwe and beyond.
Receiving the equipment, All Star Sports Academy CEO Mr. Andrew Mkwaila expressed his gratitude, emphasizing the importance of such support in building the future of Malawian football.
“We’re very grateful to BMIS for coming to our rescue. This will help us to discover, nurture, and develop football talent at grassroots level, as the Flames and Scorchers will benefit from this project soonest,” Mkwaila stated.
All Star Sports Academy has been steadily growing as a vital hub for football development in the central region, providing training and exposure to aspiring players.
