A dramatic twist, that’s the unpredictable nature of football, Malawian coach Charles Manda has parted ways with Bantu Football Club — just days after leading the Lesotho giants to a triumphant victory in the People’s Cup.
Bantu FC, in a statement released on Friday morning, confirmed the end of Manda’s tenure alongside his technical lieutenants — Assistant Coach Kabelo Malapane and Goalkeeper Coach Esaiah Mosala. Their contracts, the club said, have reached their conclusion and will not be renewed.

“I am overjoyed to have won my first trophy with Bantu,” Manda said after the final. “To do it against Matlama — where I had both highs and lows — adds a special edge to this victory.
In their statement, Bantu FC paid tribute to the departing trio for their dedication, professionalism, and valuable contribution to the club’s progress. The management lauded their “legacy of hard work and commitment,” while urging supporters to await further announcements regarding the club’s next technical direction.
