The Chipiku Stores Premier division league season has started with a glimpse of competition within the three groups as some teams have shown intent of being surprise packages.

The area 25-based outfit, Ekas Freight Wanderers are not excluded from the list of being a surprise package in the campaign as so far they have registered four wins as many games they have played thus far.
Ekas who have been struggling to make it into the last phase of the teams competing for the TNM Super League in the central region have produced a superb and splendid performance as they have taken an early lead in group C with a one hundred percent record.

In their past four games in the K19.8 million Chipiku Premier League games, Joseph Malizani’s coached side defeated Ntcheu Warriors 3-1 through goals from on-fire striker Jairos Malata a brace and Wongani Nyirenda.
Jairos Malata went on to score in Ekas’s 1-0 win away to Silver Strikers Reserve, in their third game of the league they thrashed newly promoted Mitundu Baptist 3-0. Jairos Malata scored another brace in that encounter with Wongani Nyirenda scoring the other goal.
Ekas Freight Wanderers also humbled Milias Pofera Jegwe’s LUANAR with a 3-1 victory away with goals from Wongani Nyirenda, Wongani Phiri, and Adam Phiri.
The good form in the league has also translated into the cup games as they have currently qualified for the second round of the FDH Bank Cup preliminaries.
The area 25-based sid defeated Namitete Zitha 1-0 in the first round through Jairos Malata’s goal.

In the second round of the FDH Bank Cup, Ekas Freight Wanderers are anticipated to have a real test as they are to meet another on-fire counterpart, Blue Eagles.
Head coach Joseph Malizani has attributed the team’s performance to the unwavering support that the team is currently enjoying from the sponsors, Ekas Freight Services.
“We are receiving massive support from our sponsor hence the performance this season. The other reason is that I have a good working relationship with the players and we understand each other. Our target is to sail through from this early stage and compete in the last 12 teams”, Explained Malizani.
Coach Malizani is the one who earned the team into the central region’s Premier division league in 2021. After this success, he left the team for other teams such as; Sable Farming, TN Stars, and Extreme FC among others.
