Mighty Wanderers Football Club are reportedly in advanced talks to re-sign their former defender, Dennis Chembezi, on a free transfer. The move comes as the club, prepares to bolster their squad for the upcoming CAF Confederations Cup.
Chembezi’s potential return would bring a wealth of international experience to the team. He first joined Wanderers in 2016, playing two seasons before moving to South Africa to play for Polokwane City and later Black Leopards FC. In 2023, he joined Iraqi club Al-Qasim Sport Club.

The Nomads believe Chembezi’s experience will be invaluable in their quest to compete against top teams in the Confederation Cup.
The Malawi national team defender has made 48 appearances for the Flames since his debut in 2017. He also has significant club experience from his time in South Africa, where he played 32 matches for Polokwane City and 12 for Black Leopards FC.
Discussions with Chembezi have been ongoing, with both parties now reportedly working out the final details of the deal.
