Sitting just a step from the relegation zone, Bangwe All Stars are out to face an “experienced” team, Silver Strikers at Silver Stadium.
Bangwe All started badly in the 2024 TNM Super League Campaign, losing to Friends of Mulanje Orphans but head coach, Christopher Nyambose gives his boys only two options, a win or a draw.

“This is going to be a different game from the one we played against FOMO. We want to recover the points that we lost against FOMO.
It’s either win or draw

Silver Strikers Head Coach, Peter Mponda, said he expects a tough game against Bangwe All Stars this afternoon describing it as a “tricky” fixture.
Extended record from last season, Silver Strikers have won four of their last season games, drawing only against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets on the final day of the season.
The Bankers are the only team who are on an 11-game unbeaten streak as their last defeat is tracked back to October 16 when they lost 2-1 to Dedza Dynamos.
Both teams are under the tutelage of new coaches with Mponda replacing Pieter De Jongh while Christopher Nyambose was appointed the coach for Bangwe after dumping Mighty Tigers.
“It’s either win or force a draw. The performance of the players are good and so much positivity in training ground.
“They [players] are giving us hope. We played against Silver last season, we got three points and they got three points.
“They [Silver] have quality, we also have quality. They have a very good coach, they are a well experienced team, but it will be a different game as compared to our last game,” adds Nyambose.
Nyambose’s men have just suffered one defeat from their last four games. The two teams faced off thrice in competitive matches with Silver bagging two wins while Bangwe recorded one win in a five-goal thriller. Currently, the Bankers are second on the table while Bangwe are 13th.
The game will be played at Silver Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
