The drama in the National Bank of Malawi National Women’s Premiership continues to unfold in Week 8 as league leaders Silver Ladies play their third match in Blantyre, facing FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women at Mpira Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bankers have yet to drop a single point in their maiden league campaign, having won all seven games to lead with a five-point cushion over second-placed Ascent Academy.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women, meanwhile, have four wins, one draw, and two defeats in the league, sitting third with 13 points.
Both teams enter the match with high morale after winning derby matches in Week 7. The Bankers overpowered Civil Women 2-1 in Lilongwe, while Bullets Women scored late to stun Mighty Wanderers Women 1-0 at the Mpira.

Silver Ladies are the highest-scoring side in the league with 20 goals while conceding just five. Bullets Women have managed 15 goals—the second joint-sharpest attack alongside Ascent Academy—and have also conceded five.
Mighty Wanderers Women will look to maintain their perfect away record when they face MK Academy at Mzuzu Stadium. The Nomads have lost all their home matches but boast two wins from two visits to the North this season.
Ascent Academy visit Moyale Sisters at Rumphi Stadium, hoping to close the gap on the leaders if results in Blantyre go against Silver Ladies. They sit second with 16 points from five wins, one draw, and one loss, while Moyale have just four points from seven games in eighth position.
MDF Lioness will seek redemption when they host Topik Academy at Champions Stadium. Lioness are coming off a 2-0 loss to Ascent Academy in Week 7 and sit fifth with 11 points from seven games.
In an early kick-off in Blantyre, Kukoma Ntopwa Queens will look to secure their second straight win after suffering three successive defeats when they welcome Civil Women. Ntopwa have 12 points from four wins and three defeats, occupying fourth position.
