Premier Bet Malawi has announced a major sponsorship of K20 million for the much‑anticipated Miss Malawi 2025 pageant, scheduled to crown its new queen on December 6, 2025. The announcement was made in Lilongwe during an event where the Miss Malawi Organising Committee unveiled its full sponsorship lineup.
Godfrey Kambewa, Chairperson of the Miss Malawi Organising Committee, expressed heartfelt appreciation for Premier Bet’s support:
“We are deeply grateful to Premier Bet for stepping in with this significant contribution. This sponsorship reaffirms our belief in empowering young women and shaping a national platform that celebrates talent, culture and leadership.”
Kambewa emphasized that the partnership aligns with the pageant’s vision of nurturing confident, socially aware Malawian representatives.
Patrick Kalidozo, Premier Bet’s Central Region Area Manager, explained the rationale behind the sponsorship:
“This investment is part of our corporate social responsibility drives. It is designed to empower Malawi’s youth—especially young women—and help promote self‑expression, cultural heritage and community outreach.”
He noted the company’s commitment to ventures that extend beyond mere entertainment, supporting causes with lasting societal impact.
The Miss Malawi 2025 pageant will also be supported by an impressive network of corporate partners: Barefoot Lodge & Safari, Pro‑telligent, Adamant Furniture, Lolo’s Closet, His and Hers, MG Apparel, House of Daniella Africa and WeAfrica.
The 2025 pageant marks a strategic shift: positioning Miss Malawi not just as a glamorous event, but as a platform for empowerment, public service and cultural pride. Kambewa and his team have pledged to support the winner with development workshops, leadership training and community programs, ensuring that the crown carries purpose long after December 6.
