FCB Nyasa Big Bullets forward, Maxwell Gasten Phodo, will not be available for the team for five weeks after sustaining an injury during the team’s 1-1 draw against Dedza Dynamos in their league opener last weekend.
Phodo was heavily tackled in the 25th minute of the game and was stretched off with the goal scorer of the match, Ephraim Kondowe replacing him in the match.

Following his injury, the team’s Coach, Callisto Pasuwa was left fuming as he blamed the referees for not protecting his players.
“One thing I will talk about officiation. What they are doing is not fair and each and every game I keep on complaining I think they have to be professional for the goodness of our game, look today, I have lost another player and even no card was given but if it was us a card could have come out,” spoke Pasuwa.
Meanwhile, the former Silver Strikers forward has been reported to miss five games due to the injury.
The People’s team play Mighty Waka Waka Tigers on Saturday in their quest for their first 2024 TNM Super League win.
