Former Flames Captain and Head Coach, Patrick Mabedi has landed a coaching job at the Tanzanian heavyweights, Young Africans Sports Club.
Mabedi has been unattached to a club since he was sacked by the Football Association of Malawi in September last year after failing to deliver as the head coach for the Malawi National Team.

According to reports from Tanzania, the former Kaiser Chiefs and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has been appointed as the assistant coach for the Tanzanian champions, Young Africans.
A source within Yanga SC have confirmed the development in an interview with Wa Mpira saying they want to beef up their squad to help their head coach.
“It’s reality .We failed to sign new coach from Madagascar national team. We just adding another [coach] to help the head coach Roman Folz to strengthen our team. We have huge dream this season,” he said.
Roman Folz has been under fire following his side’s goalless draw against Mbeya City, a result that has left fans questioning his system and calling for the return of former coaches Miguel Gamondi or Nasreddine Nabi.
Despite the fact that Yanga have not lost a single match under Folz — in both friendlies and competitive fixtures — supporters remain unconvinced by his 4-3-3 tactical setup, which they argue restricts the team’s creativity and relies too heavily on counterattacks.
Mabedi is expected to make an instant return to Malawi as Yanga SC are facing Silver Strikers on Saturday at Bingu National Stadium in the CAF Champions League.
