Pasuwa promises opportunities for young strikers in future Flames squads

Malawi National Football Team (Flames) head coach Kalisto Pasuwa has said that young strikers will be given opportunities to be incorporated into the squad in the future as part of his team-building strategy.

Pasuwa made the remarks this morning when announcing the squad his technical panel has selected ahead of the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers next month.

“I will call up young players, but I also need the clubs to help me in nurturing them. They must be getting game time and be ready to deliver. I cannot call players who can’t perform,” he explained.

The coach emphasized that while building a team for the future is fundamental, players must also be ready to produce results.
