Former Mighty Wanderers striker Vincent Nyangulu has become a free agent following his release from Zimbabwean Premier League side FC Platinum.
The towering forward’s brief spell at the club has come to an end after just one season, having joined the mining giants last year following his departure from Wanderers.

FC Platinum announced Nyangulu’s exit alongside six other players: Wallace Magalane, Davison Marowa, Bothwell Nzori, Flex Moyo, and Ronald Mate, as the club embarks on a squad overhaul.
In a heartfelt statement, the club expressed gratitude to the departing players: “We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Wallace Magalane, Davison Marowa, Bothwell Nzori, Flex Moyo, Ronald Mate, and Vincent Nyangulu for the commitment, professionalism, and passion you displayed while representing the club.
“Each of you gave your best on and off the pitch, contributed meaningfully to our journey, and wore the badge with pride and dignity. Your dedication and sacrifices did not go unnoticed, and your chapter in our story will always be remembered.”
The club added: “As you move on to the next stage of your careers, we wish you continued success, good health, and fulfillment in all your future endeavors. Wherever football takes you, know that you leave with our respect, gratitude, and best wishes. Once a member of the family, always a member of the family.”
Nyangulu had joined FC Platinum alongside fellow Malawians Nixon Nyasulu and Precious Phiri, both formerly of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets. While Nyasulu established himself as a regular in the squad, both Nyangulu and Phiri struggled to make a significant impact.
However, Phiri is expected to remain at the club for another season. The Malawian contingent at FC Platinum has been further strengthened by the recent arrival of Maxwell Paipi.
Nyangulu will now assess his options as he looks to revive his career elsewhere.
