“We are progressing well, with only two games remaining in the group stages before we move to the quarterfinals,” Shosho said.
He indicated that the league has played a key role in improving competition among teams in the Saint Louis High School Dedza District Football League.
“Teams, especially those at the bottom, are giving each other a tough time because they don’t want to be relegated from Division One,” he said.
He also commended NIJ Agro Mix Traders for their support to the association.

“The sponsorship has provided an opportunity for more teams to remain active after failing to qualify for the main league,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the league’s sponsor, Ishmael Ajawa, who owns NIJ Agro Mix Traders in the district, has reaffirmed his commitment to continue supporting the competition.
“I will definitely continue to sponsor the league because I am impressed with what has been achieved so far,” Ajawa said.
He believes the league provides a valuable platform for players based in rural areas to showcase their talent.
“We are focused on promoting local talent, knowing that it exists but often lacks support—hence my sponsorship to DDFA,” Ajawa said.
The league was launched on November 16, 2025, at Kanyama Ground with sponsorship valued at K4 million.
