NBM Women’s Premiership to Conclude on January 25

The inaugural National Bank of Malawi National Division League season will conclude on January 25, 2026, with Silver Strikers Ladies set to be crowned champions after securing first place.

According to the fixture released by the Football Association of Malawi (FAM), the final round of matches will be played that day, with the Bankers hosting FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women in a coronation match at Silver Stadium.

Other final-day fixtures include Civil Service United seeking a league double over Kukoma Ntopwa Queens, Ascent Academy facing Moyale Sisters, Topik Academy taking on MDF Lioness, and Mighty Wanderers Queens ending their campaign against MK Academy.

After a week’s break, the league will return for Week 17 on John Chilembwe Day with five matches scheduled across the country.

These fixtures will be crucial for Ascent Academy and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women, who are competing for second and third place. Ascent will face Kukoma Ntopwa Queens, while Bullets Women take on Civil Service United.

Additional Week 17 matches include MDF Lioness versus Mighty Wanderers Queens, Moyale Sisters against Topik Academy, and MK Academy facing Silver Strikers Ladies.

FAM rescheduled Week 17 matches, which were originally set for the final week, to allow Silver Strikers Ladies—who had been scheduled to travel to Mzuzu—to celebrate their championship at home.

Silver Strikers Ladies have dominated the season with 42 points from 14 wins and just two defeats. Ascent Academy and Bullets Women round out the top three.

The league has also confirmed the three relegated teams: MK Academy, Topik Academy, and Moyale Sisters occupy the bottom three positions respectively.
