Speaking during the presentation, Mtanthiko said he was impressed with the quality of players at the club, noting that his gesture aligns with FAM president Fleetwood Haiya’s Football Transformation Agenda.
“It is time that all football lovers take part in assisting and driving Haiya’s transformation agenda for Malawi football,” said Mtanthiko.
He stressed that raising football standards requires collective effort, adding that supporting rural teams is vital in unearthing and nurturing hidden talent for the national game.
The occasion was attended by Village Headman Namkumba, who thanked Mtanthiko for the timely donation.

“This donation will put our village on the football map of Kasungu. The players will now be motivated to push harder, knowing they have the support of respected football administrators in the country,” he said.
The traditional leader also urged officials from top-flight clubs to scout players from the area.
“We have a lot of talented youngsters here. Teams should be coming to identify them, and I can assure you they will not return empty-handed,” added Namkumba.
The package donated included a full set of jerseys and footballs.
