Mighty Wanderers has announced a new partnership with Island Beverages, securing the company as their official water sponsor for the next 18 months in a deal worth K25 million. The agreement was finalized on Wednesday morning at the team’s clubhouse on Lali Lubani Road in Blantyre.
The sponsorship means that Island Beverages, which produces Kasupe Bottled Water, will provide water to all four Wanderers teams during both training sessions and matches. As part of the deal, the company will also have the right to sell its water at Wanderers games and through all team-affiliated shops.

Christopher Malani, the Director of Operations at Island Beverages, stated that the decision to partner with Wanderers was a strategic business move. “When you want to grow, you have to partner with big brands. Wanderers is the oldest team in the country and has a large following, so we believe this partnership will help us grow and increase our profits,” Malani said.
Wanderers’ Chief Executive Officer, Panganeni Ndovi, welcomed the sponsorship, noting that it aligns with the team’s commercialization efforts. “This partnership comes at a great time as we’re participating in a continental tournament. We need more partnerships to help us succeed both on and off the pitch and, hopefully, tell a new story that Malawi has produced a continental champion,” Ndovi explained.
The K25 million deal will cover the full 18-month duration of the agreement.
