Former Malawi international Fischer Kondowe has filed a formal complaint with the Labour Office in Blantyre, accusing FCB Nyasa Big Bullets of unlawfully terminating his contract as assistant coach.

The move marks a dramatic turn in what the club had publicly characterized as a “mutual agreement” when announcing Kondowe’s departure earlier this month.

The 24-year association between Kondowe and Bullets, spanning his playing career and subsequent coaching roles, has ended in acrimony as the former winger seeks compensation for unfair dismissal, damages for breach of contract, and legal costs.

Central to Kondowe’s complaint is his employment contract, which was set to run until 2027. Sources indicate that Bullets did not honor the financial terms of the remaining contract period, leaving Kondowe without compensation for the years left on his deal.

The former Flames international is now demanding full settlement of what he claims is owed to him under the agreement he signed with the club.

At the time of publication, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets had not responded to requests for comment on the legal action or the specific allegations raised by their former assistant coach.
