Creck Sporting Club Head Coach Eliya Kananji has declared his team’s resolute focus on securing a crucial victory as they face Ekhaya FC on Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium.

Kananji emphasized that the Area 36-based side is in Blantyre with a singular “big mission,” dismissing any notion of a leisure trip.

The encounter against Ekhaya FC, a clash between two ambitious teams, marks Kananji’s inaugural game at the helm since succeeding Joseph Kamwendo as head coach.

Speaking to the club’s media on Friday, Kananji articulated the importance of a win against Ekhaya in bolstering the team’s standing. “We are not here in Blantyre to see town,” he asserted.

“Our main aim is to win and return home with three points. If we win this game, it means the boys will welcome me, and the way they have been responding to our training sessions, I’m happy. We need to move the game and move up the table.”

Kananji acknowledged the challenge ahead but remained confident. “We are meeting Ekhaya, a very good game, and we are also a very good team, but our aim remains to win the game. The guys are geared and ready for the game tomorrow.”
