The Super League of Malawi has appointed Mayamiko Kanjere to officiate the much-anticipated Blantyre Derby between FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday.
This follows SULOM’s release of match officials for weekend fixtures across various venues nationwide.

The experienced referee will be assisted by Pondamali Tembo and Evance Musonda, while Godfrey Nkhakananga will serve as the reserve referee for this top-of-the-table clash.
Kanjere will handle the derby for the first time since 2023, when he officiated a match that ended 1-1 between the two rivals.
Both teams enter the game in high spirits after securing victories in their previous matches. Mighty Wanderers defeated Blue Eagles 3-1 at Nankhaka Stadium on Wednesday, while FCB Nyasa Big Bullets thumped MAFCO FC 3-0 on Tuesday.
Four points separate the two teams, with the Reds sitting top of the table on 49 points from 20 games, while the Nomads are second with 45 points from 19 games. A win for either side will be instrumental in the Super League title race.
Victory for Bullets would extend their lead to seven points over their cross-city rivals, while a Wanderers win would close the gap to just one point with a game in hand. In the first round, Mighty Wanderers beat FCB Nyasa Big Bullets courtesy of a goal from Blessings Mwalilino.
