“We are very happy with the festival here at UNIMA. It was exciting and competitive, and this is exactly what we want as a bank so that the standard of university games is uplifted. We will continue supporting the Varsity Games, and we believe the same level of competitiveness will continue in the MO626 Varsity Games, which are currently underway,” she said.

TESSAM Vice President, Geoff Biya, commended the teams for their conduct both on and off the pitch. He said the association was impressed with the selected squad, adding that the group will be regrouping once in a month for training camps from January until the final squad is identified.

“We thank National Bank for their continued support, and we hope they will carry on so that our shared goals can be achieved,” he added.

Mzuzu University Sports Administrator, Felix Kaliwo, praised his teams for their effort, noting that the long trip to Zomba did little to unsettle the players and instead served as motivation.

Mzuni return home with five trophies from football, netball, volleyball and the overall winners’ trophy for amassing more gold medals. This win will help their momentum as they shift their attention to the MO626 Varsity Games, currently underway.
