FCB Nyasa Big Bullets midfielder Yankho Singo is on the verge of a significant move to South African Premier League side Lamontville Golden Arrows. The deal is rumored to be worth a substantial MK75 million, with Singo expected to sign a two-year contract, reports Zodiak Online.
The 24-year-old midfielder is reportedly set to depart Malawi this coming Saturday, June 27, 2025, to finalize the transfer. Singo’s recent absence from Bullets’ matches, including TNM Super League fixtures against Mighty Tigers and Moyale Barracks, as well as an Airtel Top 8 Cup clash with Karonga United, has fueled speculation about his impending move.
Despite the reports, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets CEO Albert Chigoga has maintained that Singo’s absence is due to injury and denied that a transfer is a done deal. However, Chigoga did acknowledge that the club would not prevent the player from pursuing opportunities abroad if they arose.

“Yankho Singo is injured, which is why he hasn’t been playing recently. However, we would not stand in a player’s way whenever they are wanted. The reports are not true,” said Chigoga.
Yankho Singo, who joined Bullets’ main team from the reserve side some years ago, managed to find his form and fight for his place under Kalisto Pasuwa.
Singo started his career at Bullets as a box-to-box midfielder but was transformed into a defensive midfielder following an injury to Frank Willard in 2023. He helped the team win a historical quadruple and later cemented his place in the Flames’ starting XI after Pasuwa was appointed Head Coach.
Singo was the only Malawian player named in the Best XI at the COSAFA Cup group stages, despite Malawi’s poor performance at the tournament.
Should the deal materialize, Singo will join Gabadinho Mhango, Richard Mbulu, Gerald Phiri, and Baggio Ng’ambi as Malawian players to have played for Lamontville Golden Arrows F.C.
Lamontville Golden Arrows F.C. is a South African soccer club based in Durban that plays in the Premiership. In 2000, they won promotion to the Premiership by winning the National First Division Coastal Stream. Arrows claimed their first major silverware in 2009, winning the MTN 8 by routing Ajax Cape Town 6–0 in the final played at Orlando Stadium.
