Macedonia-based club Fudbalski Klub Akademija Pandev Brera Strumica (Macedonian: ФК Академија Пандев Брера Струмица), commonly known as AP Brera Strumica, has officially expressed interest in signing Flames striker Kouadio Yann Kouakou.

The 26-year-old forward became a free agent after leaving Europa Point FC on January 1 this year, and has since attracted attention from clubs across multiple continents.

The Macedonian approach comes as League of Ireland Premier Division side Finn Harps FC had moved ahead of several rivals in pursuit of the versatile attacker last month, with negotiations entering a crucial phase. The Donegal-based club positioned itself at the front of the queue for Yann’s signature as the race to secure his services intensified.

Within Ireland, the competition has been mixed. Derry City FC explored the possibility of a move, with internal recruitment discussions taking place, but the Candystripes have not matched Finn Harps’ level of commitment. Their reluctance to push forward aggressively has left the door open for rivals to capitalize.

Across the border in Northern Ireland, Ballymena United initially showed strong interest during their previous manager’s tenure. However, a recent coaching change at the Warden Street club has effectively ended their pursuit, with the new leadership yet to signal whether they will revive the move.

The transfer saga extends well beyond European shores. Bali United FC, one of Indonesia’s premier clubs and regular contenders in Liga 1, has also registered interest in Kouadio. While talks remain at an early stage, the Indonesian outfit represents an intriguing alternative for a player weighing his options in what could be a career-defining move.

With offers now on the table from Macedonia, strong interest from Ireland, and emerging attention from Indonesia, Kouadio faces a significant decision about the next step in his career. The variety of options reflects the forward’s reputation and versatility, with clubs from three different continents competing for his signature.

The coming weeks will prove crucial as Yann and his representatives evaluate the various proposals and determine which destination offers the best platform for his continued development.
