Emmanuel Saviel is set to make his return to the Ekhaya FC squad for their away match against Mzuzu City Hammers this Sunday at Rumphi Stadium.
However, Head Coach Enos Chatama has indicated that while Saviel has recovered well, playing him for the full 90 minutes would be too much of a risk.

“We believe that he [Emmanuel Saviel] is getting better,” Chatama stated. “He has been under rehabilitation, he has been training, we have been giving him some minutes but we can’t give him an intensive training.
“We believe that he will be part of the team [traveling to Rumphi]. However, we may not risk him to play 90 minutes; we may give him some minutes if need arises.”
The former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve Coach also confirmed that roughly four players will not be traveling with the team, but he remains confident in the depth of his squad, from which he will select 23 players.
“We have a very good squad, we don’t rely on individuals, we rely on every player,” Chatama added. “Every player is part of the team, it’s a squad which is ready. Every player will step to the turf and help us getting our mission accomplished.”
Ekhaya FC has enjoyed a strong start to their maiden season, currently sitting third in the league with 16 points from nine games.
