Blantyre-based TNM Super League rookies, Ekhaya Football Club, are reportedly nearing a deal to sign Civil Service United’s consistent midfielder, Moses Banda.
Banda has been a standout performer for the “Servants” over the past four years, even being appointed the club’s first captain after Timothy Silwimba’s departure to Mighty Wanderers. Earlier this year, a move for Banda to Civil’s cross-town rivals, Silver Strikers, collapsed, leading him to start training with Civil later than expected.

However, sources close to both clubs have confirmed that an agreement has been reached between Ekhaya FC and Civil Service United. Banda is expected to join the Blantyre-based side when the transfer window officially opens and will be eligible to play for them starting in the next round of the TNM Super League.
Ekhaya FC is keen to strengthen their squad as they aim to build a formidable team. They have reportedly offered Banda a lucrative salary and a substantial signing-on fee.
Civil Service United has already begun preparing for life without Banda, with Yankho Billiati stepping in as a defensive midfielder and starting in the team’s last two games.
Banda is anticipated to sign a three-year contract with the “Cowboys,” who currently sit third in the league table.
