Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Head Coach, Nsazurwimo Ramadan says with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets playing on Saturday, the Nomads were under pressure when playing against “difficult” Kamuzu Barracks on Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium.
The Nomads brought happiness to the supporters when Christopher Kumwembe thundered home Stanley Sanudi’s free-kick in the first half.

However, Wanderers were made to run for their money in the second half with KB pushing for an equalizer. The Soldiers were back in it when Zeliati Nkhoma tapped home Olson Kanjira’s fumbled shot.
Speaking after the game, Ramadan who is on a mission to make Wanderers “Mighty” again said the catch-up game gave them pressure.
“I think playing these catch-up games is a problem for us,” he tells the media after the game. “[FCB Nyasa Big] Bullets played yesterday and we are playing today.
“You know, those catch-up [games] will always give you pressure. I think we could not control the pressure of the game which I think we can do in our next game.”
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets dropped points on Saturday afternoon against Dedza Dynamos.

Ramadan reverted to the old 4-4-2 formation with Gaddie Chirwa given a free-role position as he was playing behind Christopher Kumwembe.
Chirwa was always a threat to Kamuzu Barracks who were failing to cope with him and the Nomads took a deserved lead after several attempts from set-pieces.
However, KB mastered Wanderers’ style of play in the second half and they took the game away from them. Gregory Nachipo thrice had the chance to stun the hosts but his two left-footed efforts couldn’t beat William Thole while his right-footed effort rattled the upright.
Charles Kamanga said his team failed to perform from the beginning of the game due to the bad condition of the pitch due to the downfall.
Zeliati Nkhoma was brought in by Kamanga and he had an instant impact when he tapped home after the keeper failed to keep away Kanjira’s shot.
Wanderers last beat KB in 2021 in a league game and they have suffered two defeats and three draws.
Nsazurwimo Ramadan and his men will face rookies, Friends of Mulanje Orphans, FOMO Football Club in their next game while Kamuzu Barracks will face Mafco FC.
