Dedza Dynamos Football Club midfielder Winstone Chimutu was rushed to the hospital today after suffering a severe collision with a teammate during their TNM Super League match against Songwe Border FC. The incident, which occurred in the 23rd minute of the keenly contested game, left Chimutu in considerable pain and unable to continue.

The collision, which appeared to be an accidental but forceful coming-together with a Songwe’s player, saw medical personnel immediately attend to Chimutu on the pitch. Despite their efforts, it quickly became clear that the talented midfielder would not be able to return to action, and he was substituted by Victor Lungu.

At halftime, with Dedza Dynamos holding a precarious 1-0 lead thanks to Gift Magola’s 36th-minute strike, the severity of Chimutu’s injury became even more apparent. He was visibly distressed and an ambulance was called to transport him directly to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
