CRFA Anticipates Thrilling Finale of TVM Division One League

The Central Region Football Association (CRFA) has announced that the CRFA TVM Division One League will officially conclude on Saturday, December 27, 2025, with decisive fixtures that will determine the 2024/2025 League champion.

General Secretary Antonio Manda confirmed the development in an interview with Wa Mpira, saying the association anticipates a highly competitive and exciting conclusion to the season given the narrow margins separating the title contenders.

“We urge all teams, officials, referees, players, and supporters to uphold the principles of fair play, professionalism, and integrity during these final matches,” Manda said.

He assured all football stakeholders that the association will closely monitor all fixtures to ensure strict adherence to league rules and regulations.

“Any form of misconduct, match manipulation, or behavior that undermines the integrity of the competition will be dealt with decisively in line with the governing statutes,” Manda warned.

The association has called upon football fans to turn out in large numbers to support their teams peacefully and responsibly.

Title Race Goes Down to the Wire

The battle for the title is between league leaders Chimbiya Stars and second-placed Kalembelembe FC. Only two points separate the sides with one game remaining before the end of the season.

Chimbiya Stars lead the standings with 27 points from 13 games, while Kalembelembe FC sit on 25 points. Mponela FC are third with 23 points. All three teams are assured of a place in the Chipiku Premier Division next season.

Chimbiya Stars will play their final game against Simbi FC on Saturday at Chimbiya ground—the same venue where the two teams met on June 22, 2025, during the league launch. Meanwhile, Kalembelembe will play their final game away from home against Civil Service Reserve at Civo Stadium.

Chimbiya Stars patron Stampa Malu Chisoni said the team wants to make history on Saturday by winning the title in their debut season.

Football analyst Chris Banda has commended CRFA for running the league professionally, noting that the level of competition is a true testimony to the association’s standards.

Apostle Vitumbiko Mkandawire of Time for Victory Ministries sponsored the league with K15 million.
