The triumph, sealed through well-executed second-half goals from George Chaomba and Jackson Beza, marked Creck Sporting’s first-ever win over the People’s Team at Aubrey Dimba Stadium. The result instantly etched itself into the club’s growing history and fuelled a wave of pride among players, supporters and the leadership.

After the match, Apostle Kawinga hosted the squad at his residence in Area 43, Lilongwe, where he congratulated the boys for displaying discipline, character and resilience against one of Malawi’s most established sides. He urged the team to carry the same winning spirit into the remaining fixtures.

“I am committed and reaffirm my full support to you if you continue giving me the results and keep me happy. I wish you well always and continue praying for the team to remain blessed and focused. I am with you always,” said Apostle Kawinga, addressing the players with warmth and conviction.
The patron also encouraged the technical panel to work with unity, love and cooperation as they guide the team through the crucial phases of the season.
His gesture did not end with the team-wide bonus. The defensive unit—Jauma Edward, Talandira Chigaula, Hardy Ng’andu, Dalitso Nahipa, and goalkeeper Emmance Nyirenda—received an additional MK70,000 each in recognition of their solid performance and the clean sheet that frustrated Bullets throughout the 90 minutes.
The goal scorers were also acknowledged. Jackson Beza pocketed an extra MK100,000 for his well-taken goal, while George Chaomba, who both scored and was voted Man of the Match, received MK120,000.
Club chairperson Muhammad Seleman expressed deep gratitude to Apostle Kawinga for taking time to meet the team and celebrate the achievement with them. He described the gesture as a powerful motivation that will propel the squad to aim even higher in the coming matches.
Creck recorded their first win in their seventh attempt and that win has surely helped them to remain safe in the elite league as they have moved to 9th with 33 points.
