Dedza-based Chimbiya Stars have finished at the top of Group A in the Central Region TVM Division One league.
After playing 11 games, Chimbiya Stars have managed eight wins and three draws, collecting 27 points in their debut season in the league.

Following them are Lobi Young Soccer, another side from Dedza, who have collected 24 points after playing the same number of games.
Chimbiya Stars qualified to play in the league after an impressive run at district level, claiming the Saint Louis High School Dedza District Football League title, the Castel Challenge Cup, and the FAM Cup.
Led by coach Paul Chikalema, the team has played the entire first round without defeat, scoring 19 goals and conceding only three.
The club’s patron, Stampa Malu Chisoni, expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance in the first round.
“Initially, we wanted to play in the Premier Division, but the rules didn’t allow us to play there. Hence our efforts in the TVM League to secure a place in the Premier Division,” Malu said.
He commended the technical panel for guiding the team professionally and urged them to maintain the same standard in the second round.
“Our team has been so disciplined throughout the first round, which is extra motivation for us,” Malu noted.
He indicated that as management, they will prepare the team well for the second round as they aim for promotion to the Premier Division.
Third on the log standings is Simbi FC with 23 points and a game in hand.
