The Hardware boys, buoyed by a win and a draw from their previous two outings, dominated proceedings from the opening whistle. Bwemba broke the deadlock in the first half with a stunning strike that gave his side a deserved 1-0 advantage at the interval.
The midfielder wasn’t done there. He completed his brace in the second half to seal all three points and maintain Creck’s position at the summit of the table.
Bwemba’s impressive haul takes his tally to five goals in three matches, putting him clear at the top of the golden boot race. Emmanuel Mitole sits second on the scoring chart with three goals from three games.
With the win, Creck remain level on points with Kalembelembe and Civil Service Reserve, setting up what promises to be a thrilling title race in the weeks ahead.
Civil Service Reserve 2-0 Lobi Young Soccer
Civil Service United Reserve continued their perfect start to the campaign with a commanding 2-0 victory over Dedza-based Lobi Young Soccer, securing third position on the table with seven points from three matches.
Goals from Happy Henderson and Gift Muheliwa proved decisive as the young servants collected maximum points on home soil.
Despite the positive result, head coach Emmanuel Zoya believes his side must be more clinical in front of goal as the competition intensifies.
“We are happy with the result, but there’s still more work to do. We need to score more goals that can make the difference as the league gets tighter,” Zoya said after the match.
The tactician praised his players and technical panel for their teamwork and determination but stressed the importance of converting more chances into goals.
