FCB Nyasa Bullets will go head-to-head with Silver Strikers on June 29 at the Bingu National Stadium in a highly anticipated match organized to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the People’s Team’s sponsors, First Capital Bank (FCB).
During a press briefing held at the Bullets offices in Blantyre, FCB’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Twikale Chirwa, explained the choice of opponents.
“We have chosen to engage Silver in this match because they are the current TNM Super League champions,” Chirwa stated. “We would like this match to be very competitive and exciting. We believe Silver will help us celebrate the anniversary in style.”

Chirwa also announced that 100 lucky individuals will have the chance to win limited edition replica jerseys, which Bullets will wear during the celebratory game, through various promotions leading up to the match.
Beyond the excitement on the pitch, the event carries a significant philanthropic element. Proceeds from the match will be dedicated to supporting youth football development, specifically through donations to the Luwinga Inclusive Football Academy in Mzuzu.
“As you know, FCB also sponsors the Under-20 youth football national league, and we would like to use this match as a platform for promoting youth football,” Chirwa added, underscoring the bank’s commitment to nurturing young talent.
Albert Chigoga, Bullets’ acting-chief executive officer, expressed the club’s enthusiasm to be part of the bank’s milestone celebration. The anniversary festivities have already commenced, including a 13-kilometer fun walk held in Blantyre last weekend.
First Capital Bank was found in 1995 and they have been a big sponsor of Youth football. The Bank has also confirmed that the proceedings from the game will be directed to Luwinga Inclusive Academy.
