First Capital Bank (FCB), the official sponsor of Nyasa Big Bullets, has rewarded the team’s players and coaches for successfully defending the Airtel Top 8 Cup. The victory marked the third consecutive and fourth overall title for the club in the tournament’s history.

The team secured its championship by defeating Creck Sporting Club in the quarterfinals, Karonga United in the semifinals, and finally triumphing over Silver Strikers in the final held at Bingu National Stadium.

The rewards were pledged after the final match, which Bullets won on penalties. According to Twikale Chirwa, FCB’s Head of Marketing and Communications, the decision was a way to empower players and coaches for continued success.

“This gesture goes beyond the sponsorship package, and as a club, we are truly happy and proud to have them as our sponsors,” Chigoga said. “This is the greatest sponsorship Bullets has ever enjoyed, and we take immense pride in it. The bank has always stood firm behind the team, supporting, motivating, and energizing the players.”

Each player was rewarded with MK500,000, while Head Coach Peter Mponda received MK1 million, and Team Manager James Chilapondwa was awarded MK750,000 for their leadership and commitment throughout the tournament.
