The first semi-final of the Airtel Top 8, Season 7, has been confirmed following the second leg clash between Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos and Silver Strikers.
Silver Strikers secured a 2-1 comeback victory away at Dedza Stadium, which brought the aggregate score to 6-2, ensuring their semi-finals slot.
Second-half goals from Chinsinsi Maonga, who converted a penalty in the 56th minute, and Charles Chipala, who capitalized on a defensive lapse in the 81st minute, outshone an earlier penalty from Ibrahim Sadik. Dedza had taken the lead in the 28th minute after Maxwell Paipi was penalized for a handball in the box.

Silver Strikers will now face Mighty Mukuru Wanderers in the first semi-final of the tournament. The Wanderers advanced after defeating Bangwe All Stars in the quarter-finals. The Nomads edged Bangwe 1-0 in the first leg, with Bangwe responding in the second leg by winning 1-0, forcing a penalty shootout where Wanderers triumphed 4-2.
The semi-final tie is scheduled for October 27, with the venue yet to be confirmed.
