Civil pinned Mighty Wanderers attacking channels with Wisdom Mpinganjira locked by Damian Kunje on the left while Peter Ng’ambi and John Dambuleni were good enough to force Wanderers’ strikers to fire blunt while Charles Mafaiti had the job to close the left side of the hosts.
Mighty Wanderers’ chances were created from wings through crosses, corner kicks and free kicks as the Servants forced them to play from wide areas with exception of Blessings Mwalirino’s chance which he struck against the body of Rahman John in goals.
Civil at times managed to break the Nomads’ defense which was anchored by Peter Cholopi before he got tired but they failed to use neither of them. Dastin Banda failed to finish off Blessings Malinda’s move, Moses Banda hammered the human wall among other chances.
Speaking after the game, Head Coach, Abbas Makawa said his team will be improving each and every game but a striker, a proper goal-poacher is his missing pieces of the puzzle.

“I will need a striker, a proper goal-poacher. We created so many chances in this game, we could have won it easily. I’m very disappointed. I need the management to buy me one striker, we have had problems in converting chances.
“I’m very much disappointed, we need to win this game and get maximum points. But we have to praise the players we have, they are the ones who have been scoring for us but we need reinforcement. We need to beef up the striking force because that’s where we are lacking punches,” he said.
Civil started the season on a slow note but their recent impressive performance has seen them flying higher up the table as they finished the first round on position 6 with 23 points. They have scored 19 goals, three more than both Karonga United and Ekhaya FC who are fifth and fourth respectively.
